Any family vacation in Los Angeles will probably include visiting Disneyland Park, but the city has plenty of other family friendly attractions. Universal Studios is probably the other big ‘must see’ attraction, especially one of its newest areas, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Most kids enjoy visiting the Griffith Observatory, with its planetarium and great views, and the Petersen Automotive Museum is home to dozens of cars, including the famous Batmobile. A unique attraction is the La Brea tarpits, with its interactive exhibits and preserved animals, and more animals can be seen at the LA Natural History Museum. The Skirball Cultural Center is as educational as it is entertaining, and another favorite place is Madame Tussauds, located on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. There are plenty of easy day trips and short breaks from the city, and Las Vegas is an easy 4 hour drive away.
