The Chartwell School ball is one of the most anticipated events in the school and social calendar. And if you’re attending, your goal is to have as memorable an evening as possible. However, there are some etiquette rules that should be followed, to ensure that you don’t commit a social gaffe. You’ll need to dress in formal attire, and for boys that means a formal suit and tie – nothing too loud – and girls should wear a formal gown. Renting your clothing for the evening is acceptable; just make sure everything fits. It’s recommended to ask someone to accompany you in plenty of time, and not leave it until the last minute. Some dancing practice or even a lesson or two might be a good idea, especially if you’re somewhat self conscious, and of course you’ll need suitable transportation, such as a shared limo.
